AC 2 Litre Barchetta

Picture
AC Barchetta

LX820 was the winner of Best AC engined Car" in show at the AC Owners Club Nationals 2016.
The car is featured on the AC 2 litre registry, where the register states: "The saloon was modified when quite new and converted in the early fifties in Brazil. Shipped to Brazil in 1948. Rebodied and raced there through the early to mid 1950s.

LX820 has an aluminium body with the original chassis and 2 litre AC straight six engine and four speed gear box.

It is reminiscent of the early Ferrari Barchettas and is often mistaken for one. The engine is lively and reliable and is of the same type used through to the 1960s in the AC Ace.

A full body of restoration was under taken on the car by Aston Martin trained Specialist Shaun Rush of ASR Motor Body Engineering. New body panels made to a very high standard and the cockpit extended.

The car was then painted by Lone Pine Garage who are multi concours winners and renowned for their specialist works.

The engine and gear box were then completely stripped and rebuilt by Browning Restorations (it currently has about 15bhp more than in original form).

This stunning AC Barchetta is the only one in the world and is a rare piece of AC history. It is ready to enjoy as a road car or raced.
