Brasscraft was started in 1981 for the purpose working solely with Brass largely for the automotive trade, and also for boats and planes and architectural work. In the early days of the replica Cobra, as an established windscreen manufacturer, Brasscraft was approached to manufacturer the Cobra windscreen for the UK and European market. Brasscraft also supplied windscreens and associated products to the original AC car company. Brasscraft provides product to many Cobra car & associated companies including AK, DAX, Europa, GD, Hawk, and routinely ships product around the world. In addition to its standard product range Brasscraft undertakes a limited amount of bespoke work, and has produced work for the likes of Rolls Royce and Bugatti owners club. Products can be shipped internationally, and purpose design packaging is available for the freighting of windscreens world wide (pricing on request). Prior to setting up Brasscraft, Cris Glover was employed by Panther cars to create the Brightwork for this high end market. Following on from Panther cars he worked at Rapport Armalite and was involved in specialised vehicle construction. Cris Glover's specialised work includes working on the Spanish Pope mobile, Chitty Bang Bang for the stage production, and manufacture of parts for the vintage restoration market.
